I am sorry I haven't posted anything in a while but I've been super busy in school and with Rotary.
Okay so I didn't have a date or anything special planed for valentine's day this year. So Brooke, Brittany, Chelsey and myself decided to make our own valentine. We bought meat stock and some really good meat and went and borrowed the neighbors fondue set. We had the most amazing diner with meat fondue, chocolate cake and some chocolate cowered strawberries. NAM!
We also watched the movie, "I hate valentine's day".
Next up Im going to tell you about my new semester. Okay so I have a class called outer limits (OL), we are about 30 people in it and its been so much fun so far. Its a class where you are outside all day (so no other classes), we hike, run, play games, do fitness, build shelters and quinzees. Basically its a class where you learn how to survive in the wilderness on your own, relaying 100% on the nature. After march break we are going to start biking. Pumped. Also I get really fit, which is always a plus.
And then last but not least I'm going to talk to you about this weekend in Toronto, the cocktail party and the peace symposium where I got to see the international president of Rotary 2013.
So all the exchange students from district 7070 got a free invitation to come to Toronto for a cocktail party with rotary international president ( Sakuji Tanaka from Japan). An opportunity of a lifetime and I can tell you it felt pretty special being there with him.
Carolin from Germany and me getting ready.
At the party with the president of Toronto rotary club and Lilian from Brazil.
All the exchange students from D7070 with a few exchange students from D7080.
Wilf Wilkinson, past rotary international president (from my club Trenton), Me in the middle, Sakuji Tanaka current rotary international president from Japan.
Think it is an amazing quote, just got so inspired at the peace symposium.
Also I wanted to thank all of my god parents, Nina, Milla and Tuija for remembering my birthday and for the beautiful gifts they sent me.
And also of course grandma Liisa and grandma Anneli for just being so amazing grandparents, I miss you!
If I haven't told you I got a birthday trip to Peru, Yay!!!
Pumped, only eight days left until my amazing trip.
So see ya after Peruuuuu
ciao!!
